Malou Caluza is the first female CEO of QNET. She recently won a Gold Globee Award for the Female CEO of the Year in the consumer products category. That award is a well-deserved recognition of Caluza’s tireless efforts to lead the direct sales company into the future while clearing up false accusations that it’s a scam or pyramid scheme.

She recently spoke with the Khaleej Times about her experiences as the CEO of QNET. “At QNET we focus on people development, nurturing relationships, building leaders, and being customer-centric,” she said in the interview.

In the Times piece, Caluza said QNET’s founders, Vijay Eswaran and Joseph Bismark, “envisioned a company that was not just about making a profit, but one that would make a difference in the world.” And that’s exactly what she strives to achieve every day at QNET. “We’ve been involved in giving back to the community in more than 50 countries for two decades, and our charitable initiatives have helped thousands of people including children, women, and refugees. We’ve won a number of awards for our work,” she said. “I can go on and on. We are very transparent as a company.”

QNET Is Not a Scam — It Rewards Hard Work

“When I first started, we were just a small group of people, and everyone was multitasking,” Caluza told the Khaleej Times. “I saw how dedicated the founders were to the business, employees, and our customers. They were involved in everything, from presenting the business and handling customers to managing inventory to packing products. Nothing was beneath them. Seeing them lead like that made a big impression on me, and that has become my foundation of leadership. That’s where I learned the true meaning of service.”

QNET’s Anti-Scam Campaign

The direct sales company utilizes social media to clear up misconceptions. “We use our social media channels extensively to communicate what it takes to succeed in QNET,” Caluza said. “QNET is for those who are interested in building a long-term business that by no means will be easy in the beginning. We have developed several campaigns and videos to help potential independent representatives understand that they’re not joining a get-rich-quick scheme. If they’re looking to make a quick buck, then QNET isn’t for them. But once you’ve put in the work and diligently followed the best practice that you’re trained in by QNET, the results will be rewarding. It may take time but it will be worth the wait.”

Caluza speaks from experience. “I started with QNET in customer service, and over the years, I’ve worked in operations, marketing, business development, and customer success,” she told the Khaleej Times. “This has given me an incredible opportunity to experience every aspect of our business and organization at close quarters.”

QNET’s RYTHM Philosophy Bolsters Anti-Scam Message

Caluza says she is truly dedicated to leading the direct sales business. “A successful QNET distributor is one who is passionate about helping people take charge of their lives through our products and our business,” Caluza said. “One who leads with honesty and integrity and lives the values of RYTHM — Raise Yourself to Help Mankind, the mission of our company. These attributes allow the distributor to grow into a successful CEO in their own right. We have hundreds of success stories from people who have transformed their lives with QNET.”

QNET Encourages Entrepreneurs

Since it began operations in 1998, QNET has established itself as one of Asia’s top direct selling companies. While Caluza has said that “many people assume it’s some type of financial or investment scheme and they’re wary of it,” the fact is that QNET is a legitimate direct selling business that has assisted millions of entrepreneurs located in over 100 countries around the world for more than 20 years. “QNET has been around for more than two decades. How many scam companies manage to survive this long?” she asks.

Using Education To Fight False Scam Accusations

To set the record straight about QNET not being a scam or pyramid scheme, Caluza says that QNET has created a two-pronged approach. “We have established the QNET Pro initiative, which focuses on training and education for our network on building the QNET business in a legal, professional, and ethical manner,” she explained. “The second is through our network compliance department. This team is focused on investigating all complaints we receive from the field about violations to our policies and procedures and enforcing penalties on those who misuse the QNET name and harm our reputation.”
